A Newly Freed Kidnapped Child Lashes Back at Her Captors.

I was in shock when I read and watched the incredible story of this brave young girl. She was kidnapped on her way home from school 3 years ago at the age of six, and sold into modern slavery. Iyabo Farouk (renamed Blessing) was passed from buyer to buyer, who used her as a house-help and maltreated her anytime she tried to explain that she was a victim of kidnap.

Thankfully she was rescued by the Lagos Sate Police and the search is now on to find her parents. I cannot imagine their agony in the past three years. Iyabo, a sharp, brave and brilliant young girl bravely challenged her captors. I find it really weird that indeed the captors paid the said amount for the poor lass. I hope the nefarious captors and buyers pay dearly for this outrageous atrocity.
