Big Daddy - A Short Film on Rape

This has to be one of the hardest thing I've ever had to watch. My quote above became clearer, even to me, after watching the video below. I was on radio a couple of weeks ago and I met Chris Ehidero the presenter, who also wrote and directed this short film. I had postponed watching the movie, but one has to do what one has to do for a just cause and to help the millions of rape victims out there. The traumas faced by victims are often unending. The mother-daughter scene broke me. :(

How can you not #AddYourVoice and Stand To End rape after watching it?

If you can't stand for something, you will fall for anything.

I Stand To End Rape in our societies.

  1. very sad that this happens so often and with the amount of "open-eyeness" in naija, this issue is largely ignored by the authorities.

    1. I know what you mean, it is really sad and heartbreaking the amount of ignorance, nonchalance and criticism out there concerning rape.

We all have so much to do to help curb this social menace that is fast eating into the core of our society.

    2. Sincerely i think it is more of parental issues. Parents need to be more observant and a listening ear. studies have shown that abusers are not outsiders rather those people you least expect. No male and i mean none should be trusted with female child. And any report of any kind should be taken seriously. We all need to conderm this act.....its heartbreaking.

  2. Rape is a reflection of a corrupt and a damaged society. It's time the relevant authorities take drastic steps to end the menace.
