When I came across this story, my dwindling faith in humanity was once again restored. :)
Railway staff and commuters came together to help free up a passenger whose leg had slipped through the gaps. The quick-thinking crowd helped free his leg by collectively rocking the carriage of the 90-tonne train. This happened during rush hour period at Stirling station, 9km northwest of Perth, Western Australia.

The driver of the train was quickly notified as soon as people saw the man fall through the gap, to ensure the train didn't move. Then all hands were literally placed on deck. Thankfully the man wasn't seriously injured and already an ambulance had been called to take care of him.
And it made me smile.....hope aint lost....
