Don't Miss The Beginning Of Your Greatness

The Kingdom Wealth was borne of out a paradox; Deut 8:18 and Hosea 12:6. We can't have access to the Power to get wealth without acquiring the right information.  As Christians, we have to equip ourselves with the right information for us to succeed. There's nothing glorious in a failed Christianity.  Right from the time of Abraham, God has been revealing his knowledge that is capable of transformation.

For some of you, God has been nudging your hearts with ideas but there's no knowledge to execute it. Don't just dream of becoming like Dangote and Otedola, riding your own Range Rover but optimising whatever God has put in your hand to achieve good success.

You can be a pastry maker, shoemaker, fashion designer, chef or even an enterprising employee, with the right information you can transform your generations from failures and rejects to people of influence.

Open your minds and allow God fill it with...THE KINGDOM WEALTH. !!!!!

Six-Storey Building Collapses In Kenya.

A residential building collapsed in Nairobi, Kenya yesterday as a result of the torrential rains that have been falling hard over there. So far, at least 7 people have been declared dead in the building with scores injured and hospitalised.

Such a tragedy.

How to Tell Black People Apart

Hilarious video of David Grier plugging a new book of his on Jimmy Kimmel Live show in the most hilarious way. LOL. While the book might not be real, the issue of being mistaken for another person just because one thinks all persons from a particular race look alike, is real.

Black people are equally guilty because they think all Chinese people look alike as well. Wait......

Crocodile Or Dolphin? Strange Sea Creature Turns Up.

It's amazing how we have no idea how many thousands or millions of other sorts of living creatures that are out there, isn't it? Check out this weird looking creature which was found in Zhoushan in East China, by some fishermen who claims to have never seen anything like it before.

The mysterious creature looked like a cross between a dolphin and a crocodile, and it appeared to have growths near the end of its mouth which looked like a beak. A Chinese magazine, Naturalist, said the creature looks like a rare beaked whale which lives deep in the sea. According to Dr. Stephen D. Simpson, a senior lecturer in Marine Biology and Global Change at the University of Exeter, in a conversation with the Daily Mail

The two growths are actually upward facing teeth, which, believe it or not, are used to attract females! "

Look at you sexy thing, lol.

Not to be stereotypical or anything like that but knowing the Chinese people and their palates, I'm just wondering if the creature was released back into the sea or served up on a dish somewhere. It would be a shame to kill and eat this poor thing.

Here's a Youtube video I found of the creature being reeled in, below. Amazing stuff.

All's Well That Ends Well

Yesterday, I had one of the shittiest days I've ever had. I was 50 shades of stressed, exhausted, hormonal, swamped with work, cranky and all that was in between. At least twice, I felt like bursting ito tears just for the hell of it but I did not because I'm rugged like that. Hehehehe, SurvivorTinz

One minute, it was 5pm and the next thing I knew when I glanced at my watch, it was 7.03pm!!! I had missed the staff bus and I still had loads to do. Sigh. I called my cabbie and quickly had a conference call with our Abuja branch and the head of one of the departments here in Lagos, while waiting for him and packing my stuff up simultaneously. After the call, I was so exhausted that my brain simply didn't register that my cabbie had not called to say he had arrived, instead, I just bade everyone goodnight and exited the building. I was really knackered and a tad sad at that point.

Upon getting outside and realising my folly, I called my cabbie and thankfully, he was close. Suddenly, I noticed a cheeky colleague of mine shinning his teeth inside a tinted shiny car. Ahnahn, warrisgoingonhere, I wondered. I went up to the car and there he was, grinning broadly like the cat that ate the canary, lol (he will kill me for this). We chatted a bit and he introduced me to his friend who rode shotgun. I stopped to take my cabbie's call when I noticed that something was blinging in the back of the car, so I went back to the car and demanded to know who was hiding at the back (yes, I can be bossy and in-your-face like that, lol). Mind you, I was still sad, knackered and cranky at this point o.

The occupant wound down the glass and it was.............................. wait for it........................ *drum roll* dumdumdumdumdum.......................... wait a bit more while I relish my pleasant surprise at who it was.......................................... Ok ok ok, calm down, lol. It was Korede Bello!!!!

Yes, Korede Bello Doro Mega Superstar Super Cutie With The JerryCurls of MAVIN!!!! Only last month, I blogged here about his awesome song Romantic featuring Tiwa Savage. HaHa, I swear down, everything that was wrong with me before setting my eyes on him was righted and disappeared in that instant. Who needs UN ambassadors to achieve World Peace when we have Korede Bello? :)

I immediately bullied asked him to open the door and I got in, he was soooooooo cute and friendly. We took selfies, I dazzled him with my pent up positive vibes, he serenaded me and a friend who called at that moment (I can still hear her screaming ringing in my ears, lol), we gisted, followed each other on Twitter (well, I followed him and helped him to follow me, lmao), I gave him needed and unsolicited advise on how to handle groupies (LOL at his embarrassed demeanour, oh yes I went there), I think I managed to convince him to elope with me too, (I kid, I kid). I do think I was able to convince him to take me on his private jet as his counsellor and advisor, lol.

We were all shades of silly last night and I was relieved because before I ran into him, all i wanted to do was get into my cab and cry hot tears of exhaustion and frustration but Korede Bello became my silver lining last night. He even viewed my blog and thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's post on Damien Escobar so if there's ever an explosive musical collaboration between the both of them, remember it all started right here. ;)

So folks, no matter what you're going through, stay strong, endure because there are always rainbows after every storm, and there's always light at the end of every dark tunnel.

Have a wonderful day ahead and keep being #AllHeartsAlways.

*whistling and walking off on sunshine*  :)

Enjoy this as much as I do everyday. :)

See for yourself........

Six Nigerian Doctors Die In Auto Crash

The Nigerian Medical Association and the entire country has been thrown in mourning over the untimely demise of SIX doctors yesterday in a fatal road accident near Kaduna State. They were members of the Ekiti State delegation to the Nigerian Medical Association Annual Delegates Meeting.

When you consider how we do not even have enough competent and qualified medical doctors in Nigeria, then you will realise how huge and painful the blow of losing six at once is.

May their souls rest in perfect peace.

#Repost - The Glass Bridge.

You've probably heard about the glass ceiling and how it affects the career woman's corporate growth. According to Wikipedia, "glass ceiling is a political term used to describe "the unseen, yet unfbreachable barrier that keeps minorities and women from rising to the upper rungs of the corporate ladder, regardless of their qualifications or achievements." Trust me, this is not a myth but it defines real situations which many women have been faced with on the job. I would say I think things are much better for the womenfolk in recent times than before in terms of cracking this glass ceiling. However, I still think we have a long way to go in breaking through these glass ceilings above us.

This post is not about the glass ceiling though but about what I call the glass bridge. What I term as the glass bridge is the dilemma women have to face in deciding whether to give up their careers entirely to cater to their family's needs or to juggle work and family life together. None of these decisions is easy for any woman, I'd tell you, especially in recent times where the economy is not buoyant enough for a family to depend on one person's income alone.

Let's take a look at the woman who decides with her husband to stop working to raise the children. Mind you, more often than not, the decision doesn't even lie with the woman in question. Rather, it is thrust upon her without any choice. Such a woman would have to shelve her dream of a bright career to stay at home and raise the children. What, with the nefarious characters of the maids out there, I can't even fault such women. What many do not realize however is that being a stay at home mother is not filled with leisure and rest, it is a whole lot to deal with. The amount of work they have to go through daily just to ensure the children are safe, fed and that the house is kept neat and tidy cannot be overemphasised. Add to that, the conjugal duties expected at night after a woman has gone through washing, shopping, cooking, bathing the kids, mopping the floors, etc.

There is also the fact that she gets to see her mates climbing the corporate ladder and bragging about it which hurts more when she knows she has better to offer than they are giving but her decision to stay back and raise the children restrains her.

Now let's look at the woman who chooses to balance being a wife, mother and career woman. It is not a walk in the park, I'll tell you. The need to want to thrive on the job and apply the knowledge and skills she possesses cannot be shelved entirely to be a stay-at-home mother. This doesn't make her any less of a mother because, the few times she gets to spend with her family during the week has her doting on them and correcting any moral errors that might have seeped in either from their schools, neighbours, or from the child-minder, in whose care they are left.

Now to address the mental torture such a woman goes through by leaving her children in the hands of a minder while she goes to work would involve a lot of time, because it really does take a lot. Without a doubt, her mind goes out to her children several times a day wondering if they are alright, being taken good care of, if they have eaten, if they are hurt or crying, if they are being bullied, if they are not close to any electrical device or generally harmful objects, etc.

The list of things to worry about is rather lengthy, still she doesn't up and leave her job to physically go to see them. Rather, she develops a coping mechanism and places her mind over the matter. She puts several calls through during the day to allay her own fears, and she does all of these without losing focus on her job. More often than not, she gets home and heads straight into the kitchen to make dinner for herself and her husband, after which she heads into the bedroom to complete that duty.

Which ever of the above choices a woman makes, she loses a little bit of herself while trying to get the balance right, while trying to make a mark and leave her footprints in the sand of time. Life has never been easy for women, regardless of what delusional impression people may have. Take out time to look critically at the life of any hard working mother around you and you would be surprised by how much strength they carry around in ensuring peace and order around them.

The glass bridge is not so easy to cross and it's not easy not to cross it either. So long as it remains in the glass form which could translate to bearing the burden of  owning both a brain and a womb, it would never be an easy choice to make.

Have a wonderful week ahead and a big shout out to all the hardworking mothers out there.

Papa Wemba: Another One Bites The Dust

Sigh. Popular Congolese musical legend, Papa Wemba, has passed away sadly. He collapsed while performing on stage and that was it. He's dead and gone forever, but his music lives on.

Isn't it frightening how we can never get accustomed to death when we hear of another person dying, even though death is constantly inevitable. There's something so numbingly final about death. I can never comprehend, accept nor understand the finality of death.

We've lost four amazing musical talents in the past couple of weeks that I'm still reeling the fact that we won't hear new songs anymore from Nomoreloss, David Bowie, Prince and now Papa Wemba. I guess death is waxing its own sorrowful lyrics, one which no human wants to sing nor dance too.

Rest in peace dear musicians.

Music Beautifying Sunday

Here's wishing you all a beautiful Sunday. Enjoy this amazing audition and rendition by a gospel choir of 100 people from over 20 countries named The 100 Voices of Gospel.

Prince, Another Music Legend, Is Dead

I just got off work and as I prepared for the long journey home, I tried to catch up on some news. I have been feeling out of touch with the happenings around the world in the past month, especially today. At lunch with some colleagues, I realised that I've been so consumed with work that I have not updated myself with the news around the world, or even in Nigeria for that matter.

So imagine my shock when the first piece of news I came across is the demise of Prince, an iconic musical legend. He passed away today after a severe bout of flu. Incredibly tragic! I feel really gutted and so sad right now because I listen to Prince's Purple Rain every week at least. I loved his music and I will miss him.

Rest in peace Prince.

#Repost: Religion: Good, Bad, Ugly.

While struggling on what to write this morning, largely because I am physically drained from the activities of the past week (work, parties, work, etc), I suddenly got a brainwave to do a repost of one of my past posts, especially for the newbies on my blog.

I randomly selected a post from last year and shockingly, not much has changed since I wrote it.

Enjoy this oldie but goodie post.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's heartbreaking that this week is starting on such a sour note with the hostage situation in Australia. I only heard about it on my way to work earlier today and coincidentally, my hubby and I were just discussing the negative sides of religion when I read the news on my Twitter timeline. I find it really disgraceful and heartbreaking that fanatics have taken over religion around the world and their attitudes and actions are a far reflection of the God they claim to serve.

I look around me and see all the atrocities people get up to in the name of religion and I just wonder how we would all end up in a few years time if these things are not checked. It isn't religion that causes a man to strap a bomb on a young girl's chest and set it off in the middle of a busy market, it is madness under the guise of religion. This madness and cloak of disguise is what would make a man hold innocent people going about their duties, hostage. I cannot even begin to imagine the trauma those hostages are being subjected to.

This incident also makes me ponder and worry about the fate of the Chibok girls who were kidnapped over six months ago by the Boko Haram terrorists and of course the numerous other people they have kidnapped and held hostage since then. As you watch things unfold in Sydney, spare a thought and a prayer for those people and their plight. Unfortunately for them, there are no SWAT teams in place on a rescue mission surrounding where they are being held captive, our president is not on TV assuring the rest of us and them of the fight for their freedom. Life, in Nigeria, is going on as usual.

I am a Christian and I love God and all but I'm appalled how the way some people go about religion entirely forgetting that the core of Christianity (and Islam?) is love. Just the other day, there was the news about a woman who was charged to court for biting her neighbour's scrotum. Yes, you read that right! Apparently, Mr. neighbour had gone to his church to give a testimony about how God fought his battles for him by causing the poor woman's child to die because of the evil intentions she had towards him! Who. Does. That. Please??? Unless he caught her red-handed sticking pins and needles into an effigy of him and burning it up, while chanting evil stuff with his name on her lips, I would say he had that bite coming. If I were her lawyer, I would defend her by saying she suffered temporary insanity due to her intense grief and I will convince the judge of the madness that brought about the evil utterances of the neighbour.

I also heard about a pastor who was preaching and saying that the reason why the sole survivor of a plane crash made it out alive was because she was a faithful tither!!! Well, pardon the rest of the world for letting her fly with mere unfaithful sinners. -_- I mean, it just gets worse and worse and if we keep allowing ourselves to be brainwashed into thinking like robotic morons simply because someone claims they have a superior calling to ours, then this can only end one way.

It's easy to rant and rave about these Christian and Muslim extremists but how different are we from them? The fact that some of us aren't physically beheading others or damaging their psyches physically doesn't take away the fact that we do so to them verbally and emotionally. You see a person in dire need but hurry past them rather than stop to help and assist. You don't genuinely love your neighbours as yourself talk less of being their keepers. You gossip, backbite, backstab, covet, envy, etc etc, yielding results that are emotional rather than physical. Same difference, I tell you.

Religion, like most things, has shown it has good, bad, and ugly sides. I only hope that the ugly sides that keep rearing it's head in the form of modern day terrorism will be curbed before it consumes us all. I pray that we will #BringBackOurGirls and the numerous others under siege, helplessly. I pray suicide bombings and the other atrocities being carried out by terrorists wold stop ASAP. I pray the hostage situation ends well for the hostages in Sydney.

A Fun Weekend And A Lovely Week Ahead

Happy new week to you all. Hope you had a splendid weekend? I sure did, as my kid brother had his engagement party on Saturday. It was loads of fun with lots of family and friends around. We'd been at it since Friday, hence my blog-absence. I missed you all loads but I had absolutely no time to myself to attempt to write.

Anyway, I'm back now and glad to see a new week. The beauty of this week is that my kid brother's wedding is coming up tomorrow. It would be an outdoor wedding and it promises to be a fabulous affair. I am pretty excited.

Kids are back in school this week so I wish parents all the best with school runs and all that.

Do have a blessed and prosperous week ahead. Keep being #AllHeartsAlways

Here are a few pictures from the event on Saturday:

Watch This Awesome Dancing DOG.

This is one of the cutest and most incredible videos ever. It shows a dog dancing in tune and precisely to the beat of music. Yes, a dog shaking it down to the  beat even better than some humans I've seen, lol.

Have a fabulous Friday.

Hoping Against Hope (2)

Today marks two whole years since over 200 girls were taken away by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists. Unfortunately and heartbreakingly, they are all not back yet. I cannot fly comprehend what their parents have been through these past 24 months, hoping, waiting and praying for the safe return of their children. Perhaps their hearts stop beating each time they hear there's been another female suicide bomber, praying fervently that she won't be theirs. The long nights of being unable to sleep properly and the long days of being unable to eat properly because they cannot say for sure how well their own children are sleeping and eating.

In the past two years, some of the parents have died because they could not bear the horrors their daughters could have been subjected to, others probably cry daily for the return of these children. It cannot have been easy, being apart from their daughters and not knowing the fate that have befallen the innocent children.

A few days ago, there was a video released by CNN which showed that some of the girls are alive and appear well. It is alleged that the video was gotten during a recent negotiation to get the girls back. Many are hopeful that the present Nigerian government would be able to bring these Chibok girls back safe. I am hopeful too.

I wrote this post last year and it breaks my heart that a whole afterwards, we are still in nearly the same spot on this issue.

Stop To Smell The Roses Today

I couldn't agree more with the words in the picture above. I love scents a lot, in forms of perfumes and flowers especially and smells trigger memories for me. So it was a pleasant surprise to me yesterday when one minute I was in the restroom in my office and the next minute, I was transported on to a ship in France just by having a whiff of someone's perfume. I bought a perfume by Paris Hilton while I was on a ship in France and contrary to people's opinion about Paris Hilton at the time, she actually made some pretty good perfumes.

The scent never left me and as soon as it hit me yesterday, I literarily felt like I was in another country. It got me thinking about how people react to scents that brings the past to them. Say for instance someone's (person A) olfactory nerves was as sensitive as mine was and the person had this really unpleasant experience with another person (person B) who had a distinctive scent. This could mean that the person A would relive all of those bad experiences all over again, each time they have   a whiff of that scent. How then does such a person move on and heal and get on with their lives? I guess this is where the mind-over-matter technique comes in, coupled with adequate counselling.

That being said, take time out and stop to smell the roses daily. Yeah, I know we don't have roses in all parts of the world but all I'm saying is LIVE. LOVE. SMILE. BE HAPPY. Don't let the pressures of life get you down. Tomorrow is always another chance for things to be right and better.
Be #AllHeartsAlways
