Sigh. Popular Congolese musical legend, Papa Wemba, has passed away sadly. He collapsed while performing on stage and that was it. He's dead and gone forever, but his music lives on.
Isn't it frightening how we can never get accustomed to death when we hear of another person dying, even though death is constantly inevitable. There's something so numbingly final about death. I can never comprehend, accept nor understand the finality of death.
We've lost four amazing musical talents in the past couple of weeks that I'm still reeling the fact that we won't hear new songs anymore from Nomoreloss, David Bowie, Prince and now Papa Wemba. I guess death is waxing its own sorrowful lyrics, one which no human wants to sing nor dance too.
Rest in peace dear musicians.
