I grew up loving this song by William Onyeabor - When the Going is Smooth & Good, and I recall my folks playing them on their turntable (youths, don't ask me what a turntable is, lol). Very beautiful and impactful song with great beats and rhythms.
The lyrics are pretty apt and still relevant till date, even more so. When the going is smooth and good, very many people will want to be your friend but when tables turn (no pun intended), you will realoise that na only you waka come.
Stay wary of fair-weather friends but be the best friend you can be to those you know and meet.
